Residential High-Performance Coaching Camp and Talent Identification Programme

The Department of Sports & Youth Welfare, Govt. of Assam,has successfully conducted a Residential High-Performance Coaching Camp and Talent Identification Programme as part of its structured athlete and coach development initiative from 16th January to 27th January, 2026 at Guwahati, under supervision of foreign coaches and renowned Indian coaches in the disciplines of Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Swimming, and Chess, while the Inspire Institute of Sports oversaw training in Athletics and Taekwondo. The programme aimed to strengthen the high-performance ecosystem through focused coach orientation, systematic talent identification, and advanced athlete preparation across priority sports disciplines. The camps wereorganised at recognized sports infrastructures within Assam and selected national centers, ensuring exposure to best practices, modern training methodologies, and scientific athlete monitoring.
